Steven Giordano worked as a Correctional Officer at St. Lucie County Jail for almost 10 years, during which time he received specialized training, and certifications, and became a dual-certified deputy in 2014, graduating from the police academy with a dual certification. He received recognition for his hard work. Giordano departed from the sheriff’s office in 2015. Giordano worked as a first responder at FPL as a Nuclear Security Officer for 7 years, where he protected civilians from nuclear sabotage. This job demands a high level of skill, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility – all qualities that would serve him well as Sheriff. His experience in this role has given him a deep understanding of the importance of security and safety measures, which he believes are crucial for the Sheriff’s Department. His diverse background and experiences have provided him with a unique perspective on law enforcement, and he is dedicated to using his knowledge and expertise to make a positive impact on the community.
